I went in this hotel with a tour, and when I went in the bathroom, a saw ! Mushrooms in the bath !!!!! And there was no hot water !!!!

I had a beautiful view through the window on a nice wall !!!!!

After, I went to play to a machine in the casino ! I had a friend near me waiting fo me.. And a guy went a say me "What's is he doing here ?" I said him he's my friend and he's waiting..." He said !! He can't stay here he is probably not 21 !" ...

Well thanks but no thanks for the next time !

Three small town girls from a very rural area saved enough to go on a Las Vegas vacation. The hotel was very affordable. Our first reaction was not good. The hotel had a funny smell and the water in our shower turned brown when we first turned it on and we had to clean our own tub. BUT when you are in Vegas...you only sleep and shower in your room. The hotel staff that we met was wonderful! We were only there four days and they all treated us like we had been there for a long time! The bar manager spoiled us rotton (Jim Valentine). He is a lot of fun and makes one hell of a mixed drink. His staff is pretty cool too! The beer in our hotel was very afforable too! Our evening always started and ended in the bar there and then to the restraunt for $1.49 breakfast. The food in the hotel was really good and the service even better. The waitress in the restruant helped us find affordable places to go hang out and put up with us with a smile. The location was PERFECT. It is 1/2 a block from the middle of the strip and we could not have asked for anything better. It was the most fun that my friends and I have ever had. We will stay there again. It was lots cheaper and we were made to feel very comfortable

On August 18th -23 myself an5 others stayed at Balleys , a first trip for all of us . We chose Balleys for the location an the pictures on the intrenet looked great . We were 3 handicaped women and was guaranteed more than once we would have 3 wheelchairs waiting for us upon arrival. ( we gave 5 wks in advance notice) we never got chairs for 2 days an then they were broken an screws kept falling off them , the people were very rude an today I would say they don't live up to their word ,But who cares theres enough people going in an out they won't miss a few unsatified people. I'm not complaining because we lost money (we won) but it made my first visit lacking. We did meet some very nice people at a little bar on the corner across the street that were always very nice . Never again would I stay in such a hole! We always had the feeling that we had to be watching our backs all the time. Even in the hotel. Some of the folks that worked their looked like they couldn't be trusted. The room wasn't all that. We found traces of prior guests like (paper and a pair of socks) above the the shelf in the closet. Walking out of the hotel at night was a gaullet of seedy locals eyeing people as they walked about. Many times we were subjected to local pan handlers. The area around the hotel needed a serious face lift. That's another reason we would never stay there again. What a view out of the rooms window to look down upon the adult shops and street walkers. We didn't stay the 2 nights we had planned to, we got out of there bright and early the next morning.

I read reviews on how bad this palce sucks, but when I came here on superbowl weekend I thought it was great. I mean it wasn't the best place to stay, but its near the center of the strip. Right arcoss the stret was Balley's (which was huge) and than there was Barbary Coast (which I thought was a dump). There was room service (it was free to "no tip"), the room was nice (its a room (bed tv bathroom, if your in Las Vegas your going to mostly not in room so why care what it exactly looks like.) I can understand if your going get some action there, But, that most likely won't happen until after you hit jackpot (and that doesn't happen very often). Overall, this place was worth it. Anyone else that thinks other wise is just too spoiled for life.

What this place has is proximity to the center part of the strip. After that it is downhill.

The "casino" is dark, its machines only, and its really like an adjunct to the

bar. We were there in October 2001 and the air conditioning wasn't working and we

suffered. The restaurant, although almost abandoned, was a highlight. Good food,

good portions, extremely good service, average prices. Neighborhood seems to be

on the decline. Saw undesirables on several occasions. Parking is scarce, but

close. My 80 year old mother was afraid to leave the room. She said it felt

"unsafe". Could be the proximity of the liquor store, the porno racks, the

boarded up buildings, the darkness of the casino interior, or the graffitti

scratched elevator. Room was clean and adequate other than no air. Not fancy, very

simple, but price was not too bad, $50 a night, or so. If you're a single guy,

and not too fussy about stuff, you'd like it here. Adjacent to Barbary Coast and

across the street from Bally's. Location is what this place has.

The last time I visited Las Vegas, I stayed at Balleys, but ate most of my breakfasts at Bourbon St. restaurant. I would consider Bourbon St. for my room for my next visit.

This is a great place to stay if you're just going with buddies for a good time in Vegas - it's cheap, it's close to the good part (center) of the Strip, and the rooms, while certainly nothing special, are clean and functional. The casino is just slot machines and video roulette & blackjack, etc. - no tables - but the advantage of those video machines is you can play roulette for a quarter a bet. I wouldn't take a family or girlfriend here, though, just cuz it's kind of got this cheesy feel to it - but if you aren't going to spend much time in your hotel while in Vegas and want to save big money while being close to everything, the Bourbon Street is the hotel to stay in.

stayed at bourbonstreet in august '00. the room was an awful mess. service was about what you'd expect for a cheap motel 6. the casino, while a rathole, was decent to play in- few crowds and i won a little. but on the whole, i wouldn't go back.
