Not bad
Recently spent four nights here with my wife. Despite many visits to Vegas, had never stayed here, but we did this rather last minute, largely because we got the room for only $60 a night. So, really, at that price, how can you complain? Here's how...lol.... seriously, this is a nice property in a great location. The room was a typical hotel room, with a large wet area on the carpet near the window. Why was it wet? Beats me. We decided that it didn't matter, though neither of us noticed it getting much dryer during the five days. Ate at three of the restaurants and all had solid food. The buffet setting is rather nice, overlooking the animal sanctuary and a waterfall. The pool area is nice, though a bit crowded. There is a water slide, which I think makes this a kid-friendly hotel (I had to elbow more than a few out of the way to go down the slide, which we did quite a few times.) Complaints? Well, we booked "smoking king," were told we had a "smoking king" upon check in and then went to our room to find ourselves on a non-smoking floor. When my wife the smoker called to find out what the deal was, they got snippy with her. She was not happy, but we let it ride (and no, she didn't smoke in the room.) But overall, very nice. Also saw George Wallace, who was very good. In closing, a word to the wise. The nice people from Hilton will accost you near the elevators for their time share presentation. They will promise you the sun, the moon and the stars, and while they did deliver on all they said they would, they fell far short in one area: pressure. They made a big deal about how they didn't do a pressure filled sales pitch, etc., but when we decided not to buy, they got very snappy and crappy and handed us to an older gentleman, who was downright rude. They also spent three hours telling us how bad other time shares were. We ended up making a minor purchase at Westgate (with the Aladdin), largely because of the charming older gentleman who spent time with us. He was very classy and had nothing but nice things to say about other timeshares, including the Hilton, which he said fired him because he was too old. Go figure.

We have stayed at the Flamingo for the past two years now and have had a great time on both occasions. For the money you pay, the location just cannot be beat. On our first trip in 2003 we had a room facing the pool area.
We enjoyed the hotel so much we were married at the Flamingo in 2004 and we brought with us 16 guests from Ireland. All but one couple stayed at the Flamingo with us and everyone thought the hotel was fabulous. This time around we were given a great room overlooking the strip. The rooms have terrific floor to ceiling windows and we had a great view of the Bellagio fountains. One of the questions asked on this web site is if the hotel is family friendly, in a word, NO. This is Las Vegas remember, none of the hotels should be family friendly. Leave the kids at home with Grandma and go and let your hair down.
The package for our wedding was very good and the staff at the wedding chapel could not have been more helpful & friendly. The Margaritaville bar next to the hotel is great fun. The pool is great. The steakhouse restaurant in the hotel is very good. I am not much of a gambler (I am just too unlucky at betting) so I can’t say how good or bad the casino is but my wife won a few hundred bucks playing the 5 cent slots, so she was happy.
We have just booked up again with the Flamingo for this year (our first wedding anniversary) and we are both very excited about it. As I said, for the price you pay I think it would be very difficult for find a hotel as good as this in such a great location

We stayed at the hotel over the weekend with my family, the whole trip was unpleasent since we arrived to the hotel. When I attempted to check in apparently I never made a reservation (Itwas made a month and a half in advance) I walked through the casino with my kids and briefedly stopped, I was rudly asked to leave after I advised that I knew the rules and that I understood, even then I was nearly forced to keep moving. (this person could of been a lot helpful) We asked for accomodation for our family to be seated together in the buffet and I was screamed at by the waitress and sent half of our party back to get help from the people that were seating people. This was not a pleasent experience especially when you have your family with you.

Very enjoyable, great room with view of pool area, nice pool if a little crowded at times, casino well set out and staff friendly, check in quick and very helpful, bang in middle of strip so easy to get to all the other attractions, excellent value for money, will definitely be back.

This is from a trip in April 2003. Wife, 3 kids, 1 week.
*Check in was slow
*We didn't get what we were promised, even though we were there 1 hour before check-in. The 1 room was tiny and depressing blue.
*The Parkplace registration line was over a half hour long. All of the time!
*We lost over $900 between the 2 of us. We were comped a single meal at their crappy buffet. The rest of the family had to be purchased.
*We had to wait for 4 hours to get a rollaway for the single room. When they brought to us, they left it in the hallway, which made a thumping noise. We went to see what it was, and we saw the backs of 2 jerks and the bed.
*The valet and parking garage areas smelled like sewer.
*The valet lost my car for 3 hours.
*They accused me of drinking one of their 2 bottles of $5 water. Both were hidden in the closet - hmmm.
*When I complained at check-out, she game me an attitude. She knocked off my phone bill - 3 calls $15.
***The regular restaurant was actually pretty good. A waiter that reminded me of one of the 'fella's' was excellent. I left my Timex watch there, I picked it up the next day. I was impressed by that place.
****The overall feeling of the Flamingo was like it was ran by snobs with no class. Never again!!****

Not a bad property. The location can't be beat. The casino is somewhat plain so don't play here if you want to be impressed. The comps are very poor! I don't suggest playing any of their single deck blackjack games either as they only pay 6 to 5 on a blackjack at these tables. Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable but the furnishings looked old and due for an update. The pool is quite large but plan on getting there early to get a chair on a weekend. Buffet is better than your average Vegas buffet but not as good as several others. If you want luxury, don't go. If you want average everything at a decent price, it's a good choice.

My first time staying at the Flamingo was great but I did have a few problems the second time. First off, check in at 7pm on a Wednesday took about 45 minutes and we were told our room was overlooking the street-not the strip or the pool as we had requested when we booked the room over 5 weeks ago. We asked if there was anything else open and the girl informed us there wasn't. The street turns out to be an alley way and our view was a cement wall and the parking garage. To get to this room we had to take the back elevators and literally walk about 5 minutes after getting off the elevator. After calling down to complain we were given a room overlooking the *STRIP* Overall it was an annoying hassle because if this room was availble WHY weren't we given it in the first place?
The maid accidently took my pillow along with the expensive pillow case on top of it...Still do not have it back and have not been compensated...
But overall the Flamingo is a nice place to stay. It has nice rooms and a fun atmosphere, and the food is pretty good.

Stayed at your Hotel with Large Law Enforcement group . Hotel rooms dirty .
Hate to say Hotel Staff & Management unhelpful with Techical and Employee theft problems . Food and Catering was good . During the week of March 24th , 25, and 26th of 2004 , I attened a Law Enforcement and Jurisdiction seminar by Falmounth Institute held at Famingo Las Vegas Hotel Casino . At the end of the class March 25th the instructor , Brenda Brainard , an employee of Falmouth Institute advised the class that every thing could be left on the table . She stated that the room , Red Rock VII would be locked and secured . When class again started on 26th I found that my electronic Law dictionary was missing and my seminar papers and material had been disturbed . At 10:30am I reported the loss to Flamingo security . I was informed that the room , Red Rock VII is mointored and the matter would be looked into . I was informed that surveillance was busy and the loss of the Electronic Law dictionary would not be at the top of priority but it would be checked into .
Being a Gaming Commission Compliance Officer and working in a surveillance room , I FULLY UNDER STOOD . During the reporting of the incident I spoke to a female security officer , which intern asked an other female security officer to take down the information ? I asked for a report number however was not furnished with one due to 'policy ' which at the time I though unusual . I returned several times on the 25th and 26th to check and see if anything had turned up , all with negative results . I was again , specifically informed that the room was monitored by surveillance and when thay had time thay would check and I would be called at the numbers I had provided .
The device that was taken is a Language Teacher Talking Electronic Law Dictionary Handheld , ECz600T value $*** $ . The device is blue and black in color .
As I havewritten above , I am employed in the Gaming Industry and have been so for the last ten years . I do understand ' prioity ' but Ialso understand due diligence . At the time of this writing it has been 13 days and I have heard nothing from Flamingos Security and or Management . The loss of the device , is a personal loss , which of course is one thing , however , being in the Gaming Industry I know full well that an employee is a responsible party to a theft the real loss is to the Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel Casino .
I respectfully request a response from your Casino Manager or Flamingo Security regarding this matter .
Sincerely ,
Suntana M. Potter

Oh boy, where to start! The good are the Location (you can't beat)and the poker room. It has a lot of tourists that can't play poker at all, if you can play, go there for some easy money. That's about it for the good. For the bad, the slots are super tight. The place is sub standard, putting it nicely. The carpets gave me a headache from staring at them, the air conditioning didn't work in our room, there was no cable at all, the staff were completely obilvious. We had an ant problem they had to come and spray twice, and still had ants in the room! We're going again in June, and called 3 times to see what they could do for our room. Three times the Shift Manager said he would call us back in an hour, we're still waiting for that call. You'd be better off setting up a cardboard box and staying there for a week.

My husband & I stayed at the Flamingo on 3/8/04-3/12/04 and had a great time. The weather was perfect so spend each afternoon around the pool area. Our room was spacious and very clean(appeared to have been remodeled), we were on the 18th floor overlooking the pool area. We checked in at the airport which was very quick and convenient & checked out using the in room express thru the TV & picked up our receipt at the desk(don't stand in the check-out line go to the mailbox line). The Second City Improv is very good & Clint Holmes at Harrah's is a must see show. If you go to the Showcase Mall by MGM you can get 1/2 price tickets for some good shows. They start selling tickets at noon for that nights show. For the price & location the Flamingo can't be beat.
