We came to Las Vegas to visit family and chose the hotel because of location. The king-sized bed box springs were bad on one side, so my husband even tried sleeping on the floor. We were also given a room next to the elevator so we heard it all night going up and down. Between the elevator noise and due to the poor quality of the mattress, we didn't get much sleep at all that night. When I checked out the next morning and told the front desk personnel about the problem - they said ok and would probably replace the bed - no compensation for the terrible night.

We frequent Las Vegas often and had always stayed at the Maxim and the Flamingo. I have always been drawn to the casual atmosphere at the Gold Coast and had a strong desire to stay there this visit. An on-line search found rates at $30.00/night during the week and $60.00/weekend nights. I was in heaven finding those prices! I was so delighted when we checked into our room! With the price so inexpensive I was not expecting much..but the room was very nice. The tub/toilet area is quite small but that didn't bother me any.

The maid service was always on top of things. Not once did we return from breakfast and not have the room made up. Maid service was the best we have experienced at any hotel in Las Vegas.

There is a nice variety of food available in different areas of the casino. Whether you want ice cream, chinese, a steak, spaghetti, a buffet, a doughnut, a simple sandwich or hamburger, it is all at your finger tips.

The pool was very nice. There was always someone available to hand out towels and get chairs for us.

It was easy to take the shuttle bus to the strip. We had no trouble or felt any inconvenience from that. The drivers were always upbeat and pleasant.

The casino has been renovated and is very pleasant. It also has been expanded. It is quite a bit larger now. The air quality was fine. And I am very sensitive to smoke.

Our stay at the Gold Coast was so much more pleasant than I had anticipated. I was very happy staying there this year. When we go back, we definately will stay there again.
The front desk was extremely friendly, helpful, and cordial. The bellhops were great also.

We first started coming to The Gold Coast when The Dixie Band left the Barbary Coast and ended up at the Gold Coast. We have been coming every year since from Minnesota as we really enjoy your hotel and casino and love Jim Fitzgerald and his band. We wouldn't stay any place else. We would recommend your hotel and casino and entertainment to everyone and have done so.

See you in February again.

I was pleasantly surprised at the overall experience of the Gold Coast. I didn't get get expensive amenities, nor did I pay for them and that is what I liked about the hotel and casino. Very friendly place to play. The rooms were very adequate and definately better than the cost might lead you to belive. The atmosphere is much more comfortable than what I found on the strip. It is a slight hassle being so far from the strip. I realize it is only a mile or so, but you cannot walk it because of the highway! I would recommend the Gold Coast and would absolutely go back!
