OVER PRICE & BAY CHOICE MANDALAY BAY, LAS VEGAS
THE HOTEL IS RIDICULOUSLY OVER PRICED AND HAS NO ACCOMODATIONS FOR HANDICAP PEOPLE. THE SERVICE WAS NOT ANY BETTER. THEY OVERBOOKED AND TRIED NOT TO HONOR RESERVATIONS. NEVER STAY THEIR

I took my son and his future wife and my mom there for my son's 25th birthday in May 2006. I had been to Vegas before and loved it. It was the first time for the rest of the family. The hotel was gorgeous, clean and the pools were awesome. The service was great and the staff very friendly. Although it's at the end of the strip I lost weight because of the walking and that was a good thing I intend to go back maybe the same time in 2007. I know my son is planning to incorporate MB into his honeymoon next year, I would recommend it highly ot everyone.

Not Family Freindly
I could find no where in the ammenities description that limited the use of the spa facilities, which was the only way to access the wieght room, to persons over the age of 18. This is not family friendly. I have a 15 year old daughter athlete who needs to keep up her workouts. When I asked the consierge for help in finding a local healthclub he said that all healthclubs in the area have the same rule. I found a golds gym by using the yellow pages who allows supervised minors to use the facilities. Were still here and trying to make the best of it, but I do not think we will stay here again.

Comments on Mandaly Bay
The hotel was absolutely beautiful. However the staff were not so beautiful. We arrived at the hotel about 12:00 am and we were all excited about our room and how nice it was, we quickly changed and went downstairs to the casino which I told my husband we get drinks when were gambling, we were playing the $1.00 slots, well we played for at least 1/2 hour and no drinks so I saw a waitress and she said you have to find your waitress, this kind of blew me away. So we went to one of the bars and stood there for quite along time and I finally asked the waitress if we could get a drink , she said you have to go over there , so we did and you know we never did get a drink.Being my husbands first time in vegas he was not impressed. We finally bought a soda in the store and went to bed. The next morning we went down for breakfast and when I asked an employee which way to the restaurants he did,nt even acknowledge me let alone answer me and I asked twice. We found our way and had a wonderful breakfast but when we wanted to play in a casino we went elsewhere where you could get a drink when you were gambling and the employees were friendly. So NO I would never stay at Mandalay Bay again and would certainly would not recommend this hotel to my friends.
I have been to Las Vegas 14 times and have never been treated so poorly.
Thanks for listening !!!

Hotel is pretty good - I like the room. However, what is with the stupid dress codes? I arrive in jeans and sneakers and most of the clubs were off limit - stupid idea. Pretty sad when you are judged based on how you dress. I agree - no trashy clothes - but sneakers? I guess if your not a wanna be wearing clothes you can't afford, then the clubs are off limits. Based on this alone I wouldn't return to Manadaly Bay - when I am traveling on the road, I want to dress clean but comfortable.

THE RUM JUNGLE has become a joke. get there late and pay $25.00 to get in. then get slammed over the head with expensive drinks. oh looking for a buy back forget it you wont get one. after our party had numerous rounds of drinks and tipping very nicely we never got a buy back. when we asked the bartender it was obvious they didnt care and said they werent allowed to. OHHHHH PLEASE. LEARN HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THE CUSTOMER. Most of these clubs dont care cause most people are only there visiting but i am a local who was there whenever i had a client in town . Well guess what i now take my clients and friends elsewhere where our business is appreciated. what happened Mandaly Bay got to big for your britches. Well it shows. i will enjoy my nightlife somewhere else.

When i stayed at this hotel, I called a escort to my room. After about an hour, i heard a knock on my door. As i opened, to my surprise it was a man.
He proceded to beat me and harm my manhood. I will never return to Las Vegas ever again........

Stayed 5 nights, great stay, clean large rooms, nice bath, good food, nice shopping, love the pools, really enjoyed it except for the smell of the hotel, what is that smell? Vanilla candles? Not sure but it really made my allergies act up. Would not stay here again only because the smell really bothered me.

Note to Sal, who precedes me by a few notes: if you think that cattle call buffet filled with cold food at Excalibur is better in any way than Mandalay Bay's buffet, I've got a few things I'd like to sell you. Give me a call, buddy. Thanks.

My husband and I are planning a trip this Dec,2003. Our last visit was August2003. Really, I don't understand what everybody's fussy about the wave pool, it was great, sandy beach and when you're ready for a cocktail all you have to do is put your flag up on your lounge chair. Service was A+. The hotel is the last hotel on the strip, so what. You come to Vegas to stay in the middle of the strip? Has anyone ever heard of a taxi. Great hotel, great service.

WE STAYED AT THE HOTEL FOR TWO DAYS. NONE OF THE PLUMBING WORKED PROPERLY. THE SHOWER WAS A DRIZZLE. THE SHOWER WAS RUSTED AND YOU COULD NOT ADJUST THE TEMPERTURE OFTHE WATER. THE TUB TOOK OVER 10 MINUTES TO EMPTY.THE TOILET SCREECHED VERY LOUDLY EVERY TIME YOU FLUSHED IT AND YOU HAD TO HOLD DOWN THE HANDLE FOR 3 MINUTES BEFORE IT WOULD FLUSH. THERE WAS NOTHING ON THE TV BUT ADS FOR THE HOTEL.THE POOLS ALL CLOSED AT 7PM. THE BED WAS VERY HARD.THERE WAS ONLY BOTTLED WATER AVAILABLE AND IT WAS $5.A BOTTLE.THE HOUSE OF BLUES WAS HAVING SOME UNKNOWN CHARACTER THERE AND YOU HAD TO HAVE FORMAL ATTIRE TO ATTEND.THE T-SHIRTS COST 24.50 FOR THE CHEAPEST ONE AND THEY WERE THE MOST EXPENSIVE ONES OF ALL THE HOTELS AND THE MGM'S WERE FAR PRETTIER. NOW THIS WAS ROOM 32315 SO I CAN'T GAURANTEE THAT ALL OF THE ROOMS WILL BE THIS HIGHLY RATED AND ENJOYABLE. NEXT TIME THE VENETIAN!!!!!!

My husband, 6 month old son and I just spent 3 days at Mandalay Bay. I will never return. While my husband was in his conference, my son and I were denied charging access to our room. The front desk actually asked me, "How do we know that you're his wife? We've seen everything here and we believe in discretion." My gosh! They should know because I checked in with him and was standing there with our 6 month old baby AND the room was on MY credit card. It was a humiliating experience and I will never return. When I asked a Casino security guard what activities I could do with my son he suggested that I return to my room and watch tv as "Vegas is not a place for children". Really! I couldn't wait to leave.

I hate the smell of this hotel, what is that smell anyway? Smells like strong scented candles burning or something, this is the only thing that drove me nuts, I would have rather smelled the stale ciggarette smoke than this, get rid of it please! Nice hotel, good food, great pool and friendly staff.

Great place to stay. Kind of far from the rest of the strip, did a lot of walking, but otherwise great. Good restaurants, lots of choice, nice pool/beach area but was pretty crowded on a Sunday, so get there early to get a lounge chair. Saw Mamma Mia there, highly recommend it. Room size was nice, bathroom was great, ended up with a view of the airport, but otherwise the room was great. Would stay there again.

If you're under 30 and have money up the yin-yang, this is the best place in Vegas. Otherwise it's not so hot. Service is fine. One warning: THE WAVE POOL IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE! It's OK for kids under 10, but that's it. It's rules were obviously designed by a lawyer whose spouse, kids, and family pet are being held captive in the event any pool user ever sues the hotel for any reason. The waves are very tame, you can't come within 30 feet of the wave generating part, you can't touch the side wall, you can't enter the pool anytime the waves are generating (not easy to notice that they even are, I'm sure I'm leaving out other rules, and the youth enforce said multitude of rules are very thorough in doing so and very hostile in the process.

Mandalay Bay has a lot of good points and really only one that could be better - the location. It is the last hotel on the strip so if you want to see other hotels, be prepared to walk, take a cab, hop a bus or ride the free monorail that runs to Luxor and Exaclibur. Rooms are large and have windows which run from ceiling to floor. Our room was #18219 and it had one of the best strip views I've ever had. Since you're at the end of the strip, you look down the entire strip instead of looking out at a casino across the street like so many other hotel's "strip view" rooms. There's plenty to do at the MB. Several excellent restaurants, great clubs (my favorite was rumjungle - yes that's how it is spelled and capitalized), a very large casino with friendly dealers and plenty of games and one of the best pools in Vegas. The pool area includes a large sand beach which leads into the wave pool, a lazy river that you can rent a tube and float around, regular pools and hot tubs and plenty of tropical drinks too. But the tubes are expensive to rent ($20/day)and the pool-side service to order food or drinks is VERY poor. Don't count on a waitress to help you - you'll have to get up and go to the pool bar yourself. Room service was always about 45 minutes so if you're starving, walk down to a restaurant. Housekeeping was sloppy. During our first night, we had a small party in our room and a few chips were dropped on the floor and stepped on. The next day, after housekeeping cleaned the room, the chips were still there in the middle of the floor. Had to call housekeeping to come back up and the guy they sent had an attitude about having to come up and vacuum and didn't say one word while he was there. I would definitely stay at MB again. They have everything you need right there that you may never want to leave the resort.
