Overall, this casino has one of the nicest settings in all vegas joints... I love the jungle like atmosphere near the lounge area, it's just so soothing... Never stayed here but heard good things about rooms in here. One thing I've found out is that although most of the dealer are really nice, there were a few and there was a couple pit bosses who were just totally rude... I felt like I was being mis-judged because I looked young. They assumed that I did not have money and wouldn't treat us the way they treat the guy next to me. I will go back to the casino to enjoy the tigers and the atmosphere, but I will not want to gamble there again.

My husband and I stayed there for 3 nights in August of 2001. We had a wonderful time. Clean rooms, excellent service and food. Great location. Beautiful pool area. Great casino too. Beautiful hotel. We will definately be back.

The mirage was a very nice place to stay. I can't say enough good things about the service. We had lost our baggage at the airport, and when we got to the hotel, we happened to mention it. They gave us a reference to shop at one of the local clothing stores, along with a comp of $250 to get some clothes. Then they took care of completely dealing with the airline until we got our baggage the next day. It was just amazing what they did to help us out. Thanks all! Thanks Mike!

My family and I stayed in this hotel in August. The hotel was beautiful with a very nice tropical theme. There we very nice waterfalls with misty air as you walk through the hotel to get to the casinos. It is very good if you don't want a lot of kids running around, there were none. The pool area was beautiful. When you book a room make sure you get the strip view because it is absolutely beautiful at nighttime to look at Las Vegas all lit up. The only thing is, this hotel is pretty expensive(but worth it)butyou have to remember you are most likely not going to be in the hotel most iof the time. If you are like my family visiting for the first time you will probably want to walk around and look at the other hotels too. But the Mirage is an overall beautiful hotle and yes I would stay there again.

Go to California Pizza for a snack or lunch...the lines are usually long but it moves quickly. The choice of toppings for a pizza are endless, truly a pizza lover's delight!

Hi Valerie and anyone else interested, to the best of my knowledge, the booths at the shows are "saved" for VIPs such as high rollers who get comped these booths. I could be wrong but when I made the same inquiry a few years ago that's the answer I received, if the policy has changed, it would be nice to know, the table seats are neck killers.

Primo! Bravo! In plain old English...book it, you won't be sorry. Great location, good rooms, no riff-raff like you find on Freemont, well kept, good staff...do I really have to keep going?

Can some good Samaritan out there tell me how to get a booth as opposed to a table for Siegfried and Roy? You can email me with the answer or post it here but if you email me put Siegfried and Roy in the subject area. Thank you.

Overpriced? No, not at all. I had a great experience at this hotel with my husband and two young children. I only have compliments for the hotel and staff. Either I'm very easy to please or a lot of you have unrealistic expectations.

I was very nervous about taking my kids to Las Vegas and I can assure I am hardly a prude or an ultra conservative but, this is where everyone wanted to go on vacation this year and, I am so happy that we went!! The kids absolutely loved the Segfried and Roy, the Dolphins, the mini-zoo, all of it. The Mirage is a family hotel and Las Vegas IS a family destination. It was a very pleasant surprise!

I am writing this as a black woman. I have to agree with Mr. McDermott. I have made Las Vegas my vacation destination for over 10 years now and I have never received anything but the best of treatment at any of the hotels or casinos. I've tried most of them but, Mirage remains my favorite.

I'm a black man and I had no attitude problems from anyone. The check in counter was long but we all had to wait, the color of my skin had nothing to do with that. My bellman joked with me the whole time and I tipped him well. I took my kids to see Siegfried and Roy and they loved it. The white tiggers are amazing creatures! I played the tables and some slots and I was always treated well. My wife played the slots and won $500. You must have been at the Mirage on a off day Mr. Russell because I've been coming to Las Vegas for years now and this is by far my favorite hotel. This is the first incident I've ever heard of racism at the casinos and hopefully it's the last! After all the color the casinos are interested in is GREEN! LOL - Peace

Have only visited Vegas twice but now that I can compare the Mirage to the Paris hotel....I would strongly advise all to stay at the Mirage. The rooms, service, casino, and restaurants are excellent! We were EXTREMELEY DISAPPOINTED

after our stay at Paris. Next visit we will return to the Mirage!

I cannot say enough about this place! It's a destination in itself. The pool is fabulous, but make sure to get down there early or you won't find a lounge chair. Even so, you never get a crowded feeling because the freeform pool is beautifully landscaped and wraps around a large area. The rooms are huge and classy. Loved the handcream. Siegfried and Roy are overpriced but who cares you are in Paradise in the middle of the dessert. California Pizza Kitchen is so yummy! Frank Sinatra tunes are pumped through the casino which tends to be crowded. I never had a problem finding a place to play though cuz the place is huge!!! I even won 1,000 dollars on the last day. The volcano is spectacular I loved everything about the Mirage. Tends to be on the expensive side but you get a genuine Vegas experience and it's really worth every penny!!!!!!

This hotel is not for kids under 21 there is little to do there. This time of year its to hot to sit by the pool. The rooms were okay, they comp very well. Food in buffet wasnt very good but the brazilian steak house was the best. The casino people were the nastiest people i have ever seen. The crap table people were the worst. It's a far walk from the front door to the hotel room. If i went again i would stay at the bellagio and not leave the hotel. The crowds of people were like being on line in Disney all the time.

I agree that the Siegfried & Roy show prices are too high but, they do put on an incredible show! I took my 15 year old niece and 17 year old nephew to the show (and we all know how critical teenagers are) and they LOVED the show. They were equally pleased with the pool area and all the activities around the Strip for young people. Don't be afraid to book this hotel if you're traveling with children. They seem to encourage families and even a kids check-in area!

I am returning to Las Vegas next week with my husband and another couple and we're staying at the Mirage...this will be my 25th stay at this hotel. Now doesn't that tell you something?

The Mirage is a very beautiful hotel, I stayed in a tower suite on the 26th floor, the room was always spotless and well stocked with everything I needed, such as good size bottles of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, mouth wash, soaps, plush towels and bath robes, also new stationery, postcards and pens, they also had a daily newspaper waiting outside my door, fresh flowers were delivered the first day of my stay and nightly turn down service was very nice, a small flower and two pieces of boxed chocolate candy with a note left on my pillow, The rooms are huge and the view was great. I was treated like a queen, everyone I talked to was so friendly, helpful and nice through out my 5 day stay. I will stay at the Mirage again and again. (Pool area is to die for!) (Casino and Buffet are very nice too)(Must eat at the California Pizza Kitchen!).

The Mirage was very clean and well kept. food and shops were very high quality. The pool and outdoor areas were very service friendly and clean. Inside desk quality and house maintaince was good. The casino staff was however, very rude and unpleasant. The rest of the service was very friendly and well. Over all the Mirage was a great place to stay of all the places I saw.
